Aileen Apolo-de Jesus
Lead, Outreach Program for Southeast Asia, Google

Aileen Apolo-de Jesus leads the Outreach program for Southeast Asia. She develops and implements programs to help grow the internet eco-system which includes gDays and community development. Prior to doing Outreach work she was country consultant for the Philippines of Google for 5 years. She holds an MBA from De La Salle University, Philippines and degrees in AB-Political Science and BS- Legal Management from the same university. Outside of work she loves to blog and cook.

Head, Google Apps Supporting Program for Philippines, Google

Janet is the Head of Google Apps Supporting Program (GASP) for Philippines. She has her BA in Mathematics with Honors from Cornell and an MS in Computer Science from Princeton, fully funded by a National Science Foundation grant. Previously, she has worked at Microsoft as a Software developer, at McKinsey as a Business Consultant, and as a Technical Program Manager for Google's Infrastructure Team. Her passion is running, rock climbing, and eating candy.

Cathy Candano
Strategic Partner Manager, Online Partnerships Group, Google

Catherine Candano is responsible for Southeast Asia Online Partnership Development for Google Asia Pacific, building collaboration between branded web/mobile publishers and developers.

The past seven years includes product management roles for Cathy in the Philippine mobile broadband business for a leading telecom company, as well regional civil-society network-building for over 40 countries with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Thailand. She has contributed professionally to the National University of Singapore, focusing on education and research on new media technologies and environmental sustainability.

Outside of Google, Cathy continues to speak about and publish her research on new media platforms and sustainability. Most recently that includes a chapter in the book, "The Economic, Social, Political Elements of Climate Change," by Springer Verlag, Berlin, key elements of which has become teaching material in English and Chinese Mandarin for World Climate Teach-In Day.

JM Ibañez
Software Architect and Co-Founder, CodeFlux

Jan Michael Ibañez is an experienced software architect with 8 years under his belt developing web applications and other software systems both in Java and Python. He is well-versed in a wide range of software technologies and libraries, and has written software in languages other than Java and Python.

JM is the author of the JMeter RMI plugin, and a binary-only patch to make the Motorola SM56 software modem ("winmodem") work on the 2.4.x-series of Linux kernels. He has worked in a diverse range of business domains, from payroll to cargo handling systems to embedded systems, having written and designed various web applications, including a digital signage system, various subsystems of a payroll system, an LDAP synchronization tool for Active Directory, and an executive search system written in Ruby.

JM is also an avid hobbyist photographer, theater buff, and writer.

Ros Juan
Social Media Strategist, Netbooster Asia

Rosario “Ros” Juan finished her undergraduate degree in Management, major in Communications Technology Management from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2003.

In 2005, she learned Mandarin at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University and also started her writing career for expat publications there. She dabbled in photography and events in China until she returned to Manila in 2009.

She has worked at various jobs in Manila and Shanghai including café marketing and operations, operating an import-export company and lately, a social media outfit.

Ros is a freelance Online Marketing Specialist, a Social Media disciple and all-around internet addict. She aspires to help SMEs come up with online marketing solutions to complement their marketing efforts. To date, her clients include SMEs from a range of industries: Binalot Fiesta Foods, Inc. (food and beverage industry), Centro Manufacturing Corp. (truck body builders), M.D. Juan Enterprises (auto parts exporter), Galileo Enrichment Program (education), and Philippine Utility Vehicle Corp. (the makers of the eJeepney).

Jomar Tigcal
Software Engineer, Stratpoint Technologies
Community Manager, GDG Philippines

Jomar Tigcal is one of the community managers of GDG Philippines. He is an Android developer at Stratpoint Technologies, Inc. Aside from developing apps at work, he is also doing some personal apps using Android, Google technologies and other APIs. He is also one of the developers of Moochfood.

On his free time, he blogs and runs.

Chelle Gray
Chief Business Development Officer, CodeFlux
Community Manager, GDG Philippines

Chelle Obligacion-Gray has a proven track record in IT sales, having led and managed sales teams. As the former head of Enterprise Sales at her previous posting, she brought in a major Philippine telco company as a significant client, and closed several deals critical to their growth. She also has experience in forging partnerships with both foreign and local companies.

In her spare time, Chelle enjoys cooking, watching her favorite TV series, spending time with her son and going on out of town trips.


Celine Barrozo
Business Analyst, Orange and Bronze Software Labs

Celine is a Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Engineer at Orange and Bronze Software Labs. She  leads teams that deploy Google Apps to various organizations and was part of the recent Department of Education goes Google project. Since then she has trained hundreds of DepEd personnel all over the Philippines.

She's also currently working on her personal project, Moochfood.

Ryan Gonzales
Freelance Web Developer
Instructor, University of Negros Occidental - Recoletos

Ryan is a web developer from Bacolod City. Currently he works freelance, developing apps for the web and is also a faculty member at UNO-R, teaching web development, e-commerce and search engine optimization.

Ryan graduated from the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, and has expert-level certifications on PHP and Web Design. He co-organized the Bacolod City leg of the DART Happy Hour Hackathon last April.
